participatory management and women empowerment

COMMUNITY DEVELPOMENT- 27 JAN 2010






Miss. Rachana Sharma and Mr. Harit Kumar (Executive and Member KIRAN society for creative women) delivered a lecture as resource person ( 27 Jan 2010 ) on the theme' women empowerment' in one of the village of Ajnala, (Rokha)Distt.Amritsar. The activity was organised by water supply and sanitation department, Punjab. The basic purpose of this activity was to encourage women to participate in decision making process and also to come forward for community develpoment.
various issues related to women and society were touched upon by the speakers and wide discussions were held with the mob at the end of hte programme.

    thnks for going through our blog
    this is a world bank project taken up by water supply and sanitation department... the basic purpose is to build water tanks in villages in punjab ( border ).. with a special effort to foster partiocipatiopn of women in community development...
    they are included in the committee at gram level and also given charge to disemminate the information to other people ...
    the work of mobilisation is going on and may be they get statred with building the tanks in a few month.
